Scribd: บริการแบ่งปันเอกสารบนอินเทอร์เน็ต

วันนี้ได้สมัครเป็นสมาชิก Scribd ซึ่งให้บริการเกี่ยวกับการแบ่งปันเอกสารบนอินเทอร์เน็ต เมื่อลองใช้งานแล้วพบว่ามีประโยชน์มาก มีหนังสือดีที่น่าสนใจให้อ่านและดาว์นโหลดมากมาย Scribd มีเครื่องมือช่วยทำ widget ประเภท embedded document สำหรับแทรกไว้ใน webpage หรือ blog ของสมาชิก จึงได้ลองนำเอาเอกสารเรื่อง Coordinate geometry มาแทรกไว้ทางด้านซ้ายมือของบล็อกนี้

WolframAlpha

วันนี้ได้ทดลองใช้บริการของ WolframAlpha ซึ่งเพิ่งเปิดให้ทดลองใช้ และได้ทำเป็น widget แทรกไว้ในบล็อกนี้แล้ว ถ้าอยากลองใช้ให้พิมพ์ข้อความที่เป็นการคำนวณหรือประมวลผลทางคณิตศาสตร์ เช่น D[Sin[x],x] แล้วคลิกเครื่องหมาย = ผลลัพธ์ที่ออกมาจะเป็นค่า differentiation ของ sin x ขณะนี้เข้าใจว่าถ้าป้อนข้อความที่เป็นภาษา Mathematica อย่างง่าย ๆ น่าจะได้ผลลัพธ์ตามที่ต้องการ ข้อความร้องขอมีหลายประเภท ทั้งที่เป็นการประมวลผลทางคณิตศ่าสตร์ และการค้นหาความรู้ในด้านอื่น คาดว่าบริการนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ในชีวิตประจำวันของผู้ใฝ่รู้ทั้งหลาย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งนักเรียน
การประมวลผลเกี่ยวกับภูมิศาสตร์ก็เป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจไม่น้อย ดังตัวอย่างที่ได้ทดลองต่อไปนี้

Twitter เป็นบริการประเภท Social network แบบหนึ่งที่เปรียบเสมือนเป็น SMS บนอินเทอร์เน็ต หรือเป็น Blog พิเศษที่เน้นความง่าย สั้น แต่ติดต่อเชื่อมโยงได้กว้างขวางและรวดเร็ว วันนี้ได้สมัครเป็นสมาชิก Twitter แล้ว และเริ่มใช้งานทันที ทั้งยังได้ใส่ Tweeter widget ไว้ใน Blog นี้ด้วย
